Originally from New Mexico, Charity Kostedt Taylor has resided in Denver City, Texas for 18 years. She started her dance training at the age of five, and at the age of ten intensified her studies. She has been involved in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, and contemporary in Texas and New Mexico where she earned partial and full scholarships at several dance studios.
Charity continued her dance education with extra classes, workshops, and studies. Charity has taught classes for art programs, schools, outreach programs, as well as guest taught at other studios. She has choreographed routines for color guard and winter guard teams, musical programs, quinceaneras, cheer teams, and pageants. She has had success at dance competitions at multiple levels and was recognized as Sr. Best Dance in both 2013 and 2014. Her students have placed as Jr. Miss and Open Miss Best Dance with her choreography. Charity’s dancers have gone on to be accepted to dance programs, teams, productions, and musicals as well as being successful in other fields of study and endeavors.
She is now the head teacher, choreographer, and artistic director at Sparrow Dance Company of which she founded in July 2011. Her company teaches ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, pom, creative movement, and musical theater for ages two through adult, beginner through pre-professional. As they finish their 8th year, they have performed numerous Spring showcases and Christmas mini-shows. She dances with the Elite company and traveling team.
Charity and her husband, Ryker, live in Denver City where she serves on the Chamber Board of Directors and enjoys planning events and fundraisers. She works to encourage and motivate her students and co-workers to serve in the community in as many ways as possible. Charity hopes to make dance a more known art form throughout Yoakum County and the surrounding areas while educating, training, and inspiring her students to expand their horizons and reach further artistically as well as show them the love of Jesus.
HOPE KOSTEDT

Hope was born in Clovis, New Mexico, but has been raised and currently resides in Denver City, Texas. She has been dancing since she was seven years old and assistant teaching since she was eleven.
Hope has been a member of Sparrow Dance Company’s Elite Company and traveling team for the last 8 years. She has participated in and won several competitions over the past several years. Additionally, she performs at various local and charity events with her dance team whenever the opportunity arises. She has been involved in numerous workshops, taking classes from many artists, organizations and nationally ranked dance teams.
Hope is currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University in the education department, making the President’s List with a 4.0 gpa. She is diligent in succeeding in a career as a professional dancer and has been building her profile through social media. You can find videos of her singing, vlogging and most of all, dancing on her YouTube channel. Hope is pursuing a variety of things and opening herself up to new opportunities. Hope is excited for her future and will continue to dance for as long as she possibly can.
